Where is The Dandy Lion located?

Our studio is based in Wellington, New Zealand.

Where are the products on your website made?

Everything on our website is made in our studio in Wellington, made by hand and often upcycled from vintage components.

Are the products on your website in stock and ready to ship?

Yes, all our products (except custom orders and create-a-plate) are in stock and ready to dispatch (we ship within 1 to 2 days of receiving your order).

Do you make custom orders or commissions?

Yes, we have a custom order plate option available - you will find our create-a-plate listings under the customise tab in the menu. If you would like more customisation than is offered with create-a-plate (images, a specific font or more complex layout) please get in touch. There may be an additional charge for design work on more complex designs.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment via Mastercard and Visa debit/credit and AfterPay. Our payments are processed through Stripe.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we currently ship to the following: Australia, UK, Asia, United States and Canada.

Which shipping companies do you use?

We use New Zealand Post for shipping within New Zealand and for international orders.

Do you have free shipping?

We have free shipping on orders $200 & over being sent to a New Zealand address (orders under $200 and international orders incur a shipping fee)

How long does shipping take?

Shipping within the North Island is 1 to 2 business days (from the day of dispatch), to the South Island it is 2 to 3 business days. Rural addresses add on up to an additional 2 days. These are New Zealand Posts delivery targets but delivery times do increase around the busy Christmas period.

Do you have a local pick up option?

We don’t currently have a local pick up option.

My order is timing out at the checkout or during payment processing

Occasionally we have received feedback of orders timing out at the checkout or during payment processing. This is often a browser issue so we recommend first clearing your cookies and cache and if that doesn’t work trying another internet browser. If this doesn’t work please get in touch with us here
